This interview was GREAT!! S/O to Amir for not holding back on any question. Great insight on the Biggie vs Roots “BEEF”. ?sto we need you to come back and do another session. The Roots ARE my favorite Hip Hop band (not Stetsasonic). I feel you when you talk about having to listen to an album over and over to get the flavor of the album; I call it digesting the music. I had to digest Phrenology for about 6months b/c it was just so DIFFERENT from what I was used to from the Roots; I wasn’t ready. But that artistic push opened me up to so much more musically by checking out Cody Chesnutt and others. BTW, Dice Raw’s solo album was WHACK! PEACE to the Champs, PEACE to ?stlove (can we get another Philly Experiment album PLEEEZE!!)
